My current favorite…
So I’m thinking I might start doing a bunch of mini-posts just talking about my favorite whatever of the moment whether it be a makeup item, or a fashion item, or a tv show.
So my current favorite lipgloss is MAC’s Florabundance Lipglass.
What I love about it is that it doesn’t have a weird smell, it’s not sticky or greasy, which I hate both, but creamy. LOVE. It’s super pigmented and by itself is pretty and nudes out the lips with a pretty glossy finish, but on top of MAC’s Hue Lipstick gives a SUPER pretty pinkish nude lip. This looks cute whenever, but is also super nice when paired with heavier eye makeup.
Definitely a must have.
I wanna know…what’s your favorite lipgloss?
My current favorite…
Red lipstick is Ruby Woo from MAC.
The reason I like it is because it does give quite a bold color, but the finish is SUPER matte so it looks like a beautiful old hollywood red lip.
It can be really drying though so if your lips tend to chap, but you still want a matte finish red color I’d go for Russian Red, which to me is similar to Ruby Woo in color, since they’re both supposedly blue toned reds.
If you’re not ready to go for a red lipstick though try a lip stain. I know Tarte has a bunch of super cute ones, and right now has a nice one in their True Blood collection. Other than it being a super cute red lip stain it’s TRUE BLOOD! TRUE BLOOD! Come on. What else do you need?
My current favorite…
Everyday lipstick is Jubilee from MAC. It’s a nude lipstick, but it isn’t light. It’s very similar to the color of my lips, but less pink, and more brown. It’s not too pigmented, so it’s very natural looking, but it allows for a more polished look and really compliments the color of my skin (NC25 in MAC or 118 in MUFE, or as the people at Sephora describe it, fair but yellow).
Anyhoo, yeah it’s really pretty, and I have about half an inch left of it. I think it would look really good on people from NC30 or lighter. Otherwise it might be a little too light. There are many other lipsticks at MAC for those who have a deeper complexion that would compliment you like Jubilee compliments me. It’s such an easy lipstick to wear, and is great for people who don’t like too much color, or even people who do but want something that’s appropriate for work and class.
If anyone thinks I should be putting swatches on these posts, let me know. I don’t have a great camera, but I can try with the one I have.

Day 4: A picture of you with your favorite single eye shadow.
This is my newest single eyeshadow, but it’s already my favorite.
It’s Goldmine from MAC. I LOVE IT. I’m wearing it right now, but you can’t see cuz my eyes are open wide. It looks so good with Deviant from Urban Decay which is a blue eyeliner. I feel very wonderwoman like for some reason.
Do you prefer the 209 or the 266 for lining eyes?
I don’t really use a brush to line my upper lash line that often since I’m a liquid liner fan, but personally I would go for the 266 brush because at least for me I feel that it gives more control when dragging the product along the lash line, and for me at least it is easier to wing the ends evenly on both eyes because of the control.
Also I would go for the 266 brush just because an angled brush is a really great tool to have since you can use it for a bunch of stuff like eyebrows and also packing black eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner on your water line to give it more staying powder.
That’s just my opinion though. I’m sure a lot of people might prefer the 209 brush, since it probably can make more delicate wings and probably thinner lines.
Day 6: A picture of animal print eyeshadow
I have no makeup on the rest of my face, so pardon me, but I know I won’t have time to do this tomorrow so I figured I’d just post this tonight.
So this is my first time doing any kind of animal print on my eyes, but I think I did a half decent job.
Products I used:
ELF All over color stick, MAC Goldmine eyeshadow, Sephora Long Lasting Eyeliner, Coastal Scents dark brown eyeshadow, MAC Kohl eyeliner in Smolder.
It was fun to do, but I probably wouldn’t wear this anywhere except a costume party. Lol.
Work has been kind of boring today, minus finding a mostly empty bottle of smirnoff that I’m pretty sure belongs to my orgo professor. Lol.
Anyway, just wanted to do a makeup of the day post cuz I went for a more colorful look than I’ve been doing lately for class.
On my lips I have Girl About Town from MAC, on my eyes I’m wearing Goldmine from MAC, sephora black liquid liner, and I smudged Urban Decay’s 24/7 liner in deviant under my lower lashline. Dollface from Tarte on my cheeks, and then the rest is my normal day to day face makeup. Anyhoo.
So the little black pot I’m holding up is Lemony Flutter from Lush, which I LOVE! My fingers have been really chapped since I’ve gotten back from the Philippines, and this stuff really helps. It’s also really great for a lip balm and smells really good. When you chop garlic, this stuff helps get rid of that smell on your fingers, which is definitely a plus.
Anyhoo, yeah I definitely recommend picking that up for any dry patches like on your elbows, knees or heels. SOOOO lemony. Luvs it.
So guys, I know I haven’t posted in a million years, but I went to a preview party at the Newbury St. M.A.C. store for their new Glitter and Ice collection that’s coming out in a couple of weeks.
AMAZING! I’m telling you this winter collection I love so much more than the one they came out with last year that was that weird tartan collection. This one has much prettier packaging, and the colors are so much nicer and they have much more to choose from.
They had 3 paint pots, which I didn’t really love (pretty colors but I don’t like their consistency. Def not for oily lidded people). There were I believe 6 technikohl liners, all either shimmery or metallic. The ones I can remember were a black with silver shimmer, a dark purple with shimmer, and a brown one with a bit of shimmer(I ended up picking this up). There were two beauty powders, a pinkish one and a more bronzey one, I didn’t really look at either of these. They had nailpolish, which I didn’t look at. That’s all I can remember, but they did have a TON of gift sets, I saw three eye sets, a couple of lip sets and there were brush sets I think. The brushes had cute like clear plastic handles. The sets all came in silver boxes, so fetch (like the mean girls reference?)
I only ended up picking up two products from this line. All the makeup products from this line come in this really cute shiny white plastic packaging. The lipstick I picked up was a dark berry satin color called What Joy! and then a technikohl eyeliner called Seasonally Spicy. I love both of these products so hard! The lipstick is perfect for fall and winter and I feel like is so sophisticated looking and just pretty! Loves. I haven’t found a berry color that has had a good texture, a lot of them I’ve tried are either too oily or too dry. It’s also not too purple, so that was good.
The seasonally spicy eyeliner is awesome! It’s great to wear with the lipstick, or any darker lipsticks because as opposed to a black liner, it’s not too harsh and you can wear darker lipsticks without looking like a hooka’. Lol. It’s a really pretty color, and I definitely see it as a good everyday liner, especially for really fair skinned folks that have light colored hair, since it wouldn’t be too harsh. It applies really well and is super creamy, but it doesn’t smudge as the day goes on. Yesterday when I was wearing this liner, I got POURED ON! As in it was raining ALL day. So every time I had to get to my next class, I was in the rain for a good ten minutes, and when I got home that night, my eyeliner was still in tact. Definitely gonna try more technikohl liners from them in the future.
I definitely recommend checking out the collection when it launches. Sorry if this post seems kind of disjointed and crazy, I’m at work and the whole time I’ve been writing this post my coworker has been talking my ears off. Lol. Hope you enjoyed this though.
